3 July update


Static binaries have been re-built. The game is now using a newer Ebitengine version that fixes a shader-loading crash that affected some players (it's an alpha version, so please let us know if any new issues come up). For the sake of transparency, I want to highlight that there have also been other changes that I had been making in the game that are now included in the binaries while we are still in the game jam rating period. They don't affect the game content, and I did not intend to upload them until the shader issue happened, but now that they are included it's only fair to list them:

  • Two non-critical performance fixes involving the removal of image.Set calls.
  • Fixed a panic when using rewire twice consecutively in the same turn. No player found this, as far as I know, and it doesn't make sense to do it willingly during the game (in the existing levels, at least).
  • Changed the way fonts are loaded. While this worked perfectly fine in the original binaries, I couldn't do it the way I wanted, as I encountered a bug in the text rendering library. Being the developer of that library myself, I fixed the issue and updated bindless to use the new version and do things as originally intended. Other participants in the jam have also been using the library, and while they luckily didn't hit this issue, I wanted to get it fixed asap. etxt v0.0.3 is now available.
  • TAB was added as an alternative to ESC, as ESC collides with cancelling fullscreen in browsers.

I also added the game's OST with slightly extended, uncompressed, re-equalized and properly tagged versions of the two songs used in the game.
